K 2022: First Showcase for Combined Nissei and Negri Bossi
For the first time since the largest Italian maker of injection molding machines joined with the Japanese firm, the joined companies will exhibit at a major show.
Negri Bossi joined the Nissei Group in January 2020, and the companies note that K 2022 will be the first major event to showcase combined strengths of the injection molding machine makers. In terms of synergies, Nissei noted in a press release that the combination allows the equipment makers to complement each other’s sales networks globally; while also combining product lineups, ranging from micro to super large and general-purpose to vertical/specialty machines; and allowing the businesses to share supply chains and production bases.
At the show, Nissei said in a release that it will debut an all-new all-electric machine, which it says will be the “flagship model” to be sold in Europe. It will also display an advancement to its existing PLA bioresin molding package, and exhibit an automotive-specific application targeting electric vehicles. Regarding PLA and bioresin processing, Nissei said it will build upon the advance shown at K 2019 where it molded thin-wall transparent PLA champagne flutes.
Just as K 2022 will be the 70th anniversary of the global plastics exhibition, Nissei and Negri Bossi noted that 2022 marks their 75th anniversaries with total installed units for both companies approaching 200,000.
The new NEX30Ⅳ-1EN1 33-ton micromolding machine will be among the presses demonstrated at K2022 by Nissei.
