Bayer MaterialScience LLC, Pittsburgh, sold its Vivak PETG sheet business in NAFTA to Plaskolite, Inc., Columbus, Ohio. The sheet is used in point-of-sale displays, signs, vending machines, packaging, and food containers. Plaskolite supplies acrylic, polystyrene, and copolyester (Eastman’s Tritan) sheet. Bayer explained the move as allowing it to strengthen its focus on its Makrolon polycarbonate sheet business.
