W&H's MAXICONE Minimizes Changeover Time with Compact Die Design

MAXICONE, the 5- to 7-layer die launched by W&H is making the grade in customer satisfaction, with reports of reduced changeover times upwards of 80% on the many systems sold and installed in the field. Its high level of flexibility also leads to increased output rates in the production of barrier films and polyolefin structures. It is MAXICONE’s compact die design that attributes to these short changeover times. To put in perspective: MAXICONE is approximately half the size of previous die concepts. Featuring the patented conical distributor system, the die structure is the smallest known on the market in regards to melt capacity.
