Weima America Brings Full Arsenal Of Size-Reduction Equipment
The Weima WKS shredding line is making its North American debut on the tradeshow floor.
Weima America, Booth W5489, W5589, presents a full arsenal of size-reduction equipment at its two booths. Weima is also showcasing recycling in action at NPE via its recycling partnership with PLASTICS and Commercial Plastics Recycling Inc.
The Weima WKS shredding line is making its North American debut on the tradeshow floor and is billed as ideal for processing everything from bulky objects to tear-resistant fibers and film. A swing ram on rolls is positioned inside the cutting chamber, providing for consistent infeed of materials. An inspection flap inside the chamber allows for easy access for maintenance to clear any foreign objects that may have been introduced during the shredding process.
These shredders come equipped with hydraulic or power-belt drives, depending on the application. The rotor type also depends on the application—a V-rotor for lumps and large objects, or an F-rotor for fibers and film. The screen size can be chosen to fine-tune the final shredded product to the ideal size, including for reintroduction into a production line or for recycling.
In addition, the large Weima WLK 30 Super Jumbo is on display. This machine is sized to meet the needs of operations with large pieces of scrap or large throughput quantities. The WLK Super Jumbo features a rotor diameter of 700 mm. Visitors to the Weima booth can view the inside of the machine’s hopper, which will not be in operation but will be open for inspection. There are more than 80 optional features available on these machines. According to Audrey Brewer, Weima marketing coordinator, the Super Jumbo line of machinery is both versatile and reliable, with robust construction. “This is also a great line of machinery if an operation’s application requires custom settings,” she says.
