Plastics Technology is once again compiling its hourly machine rate survey, and if you have time for five questions, you can help make the results even more robust and see if your machine time is drawing market rates.
Molders who respond to the free, completely anonymous survey will help us paint a fuller picture of machine rates across 10 categories in terms of clamp size, from less than 50 to more than 3000 tons. Results, which include capacity utilization, are also sorted on a regional basis, grouping molder feedback across the Northeast, Southeast, North Central, South Central, and Western United States.
The twice-yearly update gives the typical high/low range and average rates for specific machine-size ranges. Once compiled, Plastics Technology will publish the survey results, including supporting data that show trends in the rates and business activity by geography.
