Chinaplas Announces Virtual Version for 2022
Chinaplas organizer Adsale announced that the 2022 version of the event will happen virtually from May 25 to June 14—Chinaplas 2023 moves to Shenzhen.
In the face of ongoing COVID-19 shutdowns throughout China, including Shanghai where the event was to be held, Adsale, the organizer of the annual Chinaplas trade show announced that the 2022 version will be held virtually. Chinaplas Virtual Show 2022 will take place from May 25 through June 14 as an “online gathering for the plastics and rubber industries...to facilitate business exchanges and cooperation between suppliers and global buyers.”
Chinaplas 2022 was originally scheduled to take place from April 25-28 at the National Exhibition and Convention Center in Shanghai. The next in-person show will now take place April 17-20, 2023 at the Shenzhen World Exhibition and Convention Center. Adsale originally announced a postponement of Chinaplas 2022 in mid-March. For the week of April 18, new cases of COVID-19 in China were up nearly 35% to more than 38,000 according to the World Health Organization.
Chinaplas 2021 was successfully held last April in Shenzhen; the 2022 event has shifted to a virtual show because of ongoing COVID-19 shutdowns in China.
