A two-color, sealed-cup pad printer with integral carousel boasts quick setup and reduced printing costs. The new ICN-2200C eight-station system from Inkcups Now Corp., Danvers, Mass., includes precision shot-pinned (positive-lock) tooling registration that is said to ensure close-tolerance part positioning. This unit’s single-point tool mount reportedly reduces typical fixture costs and facilitates rapid tooling changes. These features, coupled with XYR micro-adjust plate-holder assemblies and tool-less quick-adjust pad mounts, are said to speed setups. The printer’s membrane touchpad makes it simple to program such features as pad stroke, pad delay, ink mixing, ink pick-up frequency and part index. Ample compression capability is said to allow the use of large and hard printing pads.
