Ineos Completes Full Acquisition of Styrolution
Now fully-owned by Ineos, Styrolution will continue to operate as a stand-alone business within Ineos Industries Holdings.
As had been expected this past summer, UK-based Ineos (U.S. office in Houston, Texas) has completed the acquisition of BASF’s 50% share in Styrolution, previously a joint venture between the two companies since Oct. 2011.
The leading global styrenics supplier with a focus on styrene monomer, PS, ABS standard and styrenic specialties, Styrolution (U.S. office in Aurora, Ill.) will continue to operate as a free-standing business within Ineos Industries Holdings Ltd. “We are pleased to have completed this acquisition. It represents another important step in the growth of the Styrolution business as it competes effectively with large-scale producers from Asia and the Middle East. We are pleased to bring Styrolution fully into the Ineos family,” said Jim Ratcliffe, chairman, Ineos Capital. (866) 890-6354 • styrolution.com
