Plastics Color is expanding its headquarters plant by 40% which will boost capacity for color concentrates, compounds, and functional masterbatches before year's end.
Plastics Color Corp., Calumet City, Ill., plans a 40% expansion of its headquarters plant, which will boost capacity for color concentrates, compounds, and custom functional masterbatches by the end of this year. The expansion entails adding 40,000 ft2 to the existing building as well as at least one more multi-functional production line.
The company already increased its capacity for black concentrates by 18% this past December by going to a seven-day a week schedule to meet customer demands from packaging, pipe, and fiber markets.
