Polypropylene prices increased $0.165 in February. Based on current feed stock pricing it is highly probable there will be a $0.03 - $0.05 increase in March. As a result of these increases February demand has weakened which should cause an inventory build at the producer level. This may set the stage for downward pricing going into the second quarter. Manage your purchases and inventories close so you are not caught with overpriced resin and/or finished goods.
