For two and a half decades, one of readers’ favorite regular departments in Plastics Technology is our Custom Injection Molders’ Machine-Hour Rates survey. This twice-yearly survey tells you the average machine-hour rate charged in different regions of the country, for different tonnage classes of injection machines, and with and without operator and profit margin. You can’t get that info anywhere else!

 

But as valuable as it is, too many readers don’t take a few minutes to fill out the anonymous questionnaire. The more responses we get, the more accurate the data are for you. So please click the link below and contribute your answers—remember, it’s anonymous and we only provide the overall averages plus the high/low limits. The results will be published in October.

 

Note: This survey is only for custom injection molders in the United States.

 

The online survey will take at most 5 minutes to complete. It requires knowledge of your plant’s machine-hour rates and capacity utilization. If you cannot answer those questions, please forward this message to the appropriate person in your facility.
