Equitech Establishes Worldwide Extruder OEM Sales Program
Manufacturers of extruders, feeders, and other processing equipment can work with Equitech to integrated its technology into their control and process management systems.
Equitech International Corp., which makes optoelectronic solutions for process management, has established a global OEM sales program that allows manufacturers of extruders, feeders, and other processing equipment to work with Equitech on the integration of Equitech’s technology into their control and process management technologies.
“At this time, Equitech is ready to provide OEMs with engineering support in the USA, Europe, Korea, and Taiwan by engineers with many years of industrial experience and graduate degrees in optical engineering, analytical chemistry, polymer science, statistics, electrical and chemical engineering" says Dr. Joseph Golba, Equitech's v.p., Innovation and Implementation. “Equitech will add engineering support to other Asian countries soon,” adds Golba.
Equitech’s IPS uses probes (red arrows) to measure and control color on pelletizing line.
Equitech is the inventor and developer of the EquiSpec, an in-line UV-Vis
Spectrophotometer (IPS), and a myriad of fiber optic probes such as the Reflection Polymer Melt Probe and the Transmission Polymer Melt Probe, which are used in polymer extrusion operations. These and other specialized probes allow the measurement of color and chemical composition in molten polymers, liquids, and gases as well as slurries, pastes, and solids.
Meantime, Equitech announced it has terminated a 10-yr-old licensing agreement with German company ColVisTec AG. The move allows Equitech to manufacture and offer its products anywhere in the world. Relatedly, Equitech has signed an agreement with Aguilar & Pineda to distribute its products in Europe through a European headquarters in Barcelona.
Equitech recently purchased CompSOL USA, a 20-yr-old company that designs
engineering devices for consumer and industrial markets.
