Extrusion 2023 Conference: It’s All About Sustainability
Want to present on how your materials or equipment technology — or your processing expertise — can help extrusion processors achieve their goals to develop more sustainable products? You still have until May 22 to submit your abstracts.
Plastics Technology is bringing the world of extrusion to Indiana at the Hyatt Regency Indianapolis, October 10-12 for The Extrusion 2023 Conference. During this event, business owners, plant managers, process engineers and manufacturing personnel will be brought up to speed on technology developments impacting all types of extrusion operations.
Sustainability is driving decisions in the plastics processing market worldwide, including the world of extrusion. As a result, the focus of this year’s Extrusion Conference will be on sustainability. This means all presentations should address that subject in a meaningful way. This could mean source reduction; how to convey, dry, blend, feed recycled materials; innovations in “green” resins/biopolymers/additives; minimizing scrap; screw designs for reclaim/biomaterials; expediting product changeovers; utilizing more energy-efficient machinery; and so forth.
Each day will consist of a General Session that will be of interest to all extrusion processors, as well as an afternoon of concurrent sessions that will drill down into specific processes: Film, Sheet, Compounding, and Pipe/Profile/Tubing.
We have extended the deadline for submission of your paper title and abstract. It is now May 22, 2023.
Please feel free to email me with any questions you might have.
To submit a title and abstract, please click here. Then click on Apply Now, then Continue to Application to begin the process. You will be brought to a page asking for a Title, Description (2-3 sentences), and Abstract. Please fill in those fields and indicate your Area of Focus from the dropdown. You will also be asked to provide speaker and contact information.
Sponsorships and tabletop exhibits are also available. For question on those opportunities, please contact Elizabeth Williamson; ewilliamson@gardnerweb.com.
