Sidel Acquires Another Label Machinery Firm
Makro Labelling adds low- to medium-speed technologies.
Sidel Group in France has added to its stable of container labeling machinery with the acquisition of Makro Labelling Srl in Italy. It is located near to Sidel’s labeling machine factory in Mantova, Italy, which produces high-speed labeling equipment. Founded in 2009 and employing over 120 people, Makro Labelling specializes in low- and medium-speed label machines for products like wine, spirits, food, home care and personal care. Makro’s machines can apply up to five labels per bottle using cold or hot glue, self-adhesive and combinations. For the past 40 years, Sidel has built machines in Mantova for labeling up to 90,000 containes/hr.
