Cloud-Based Tool and Asset Tracking
At K 2022, Progressive Components will release ProFile v4 cloud-based tracking system designed to keep digital tabs on molds, dies, machines and fixtures.
Progressive Components is introducing the ProFile v4 cloud-based tracking system to help OEMs, molders and mold builders organize and track tooling. In addition to storing mold, die, machine and fixture data, ProFile can interface with Progressive’s CVe Monitors for complete real-time monitoring capabilities. Additionally, asset information can now be accessed from a QR code asset tag or the serial number off a Progressive CounterView cycle counter.
The newest ProFile cloud-based tracking system from Progressive Components gives OEMs, molders and moldmakers transparency on the whereabouts and performance of tooling, among other assets.

ProFile gives OEM the ability to track global tooling assets and have real-time visibility to performance and key metrics. Molders can track downtime and rejects to report OEE, as well as be assisted with preventive maintenance work orders and tracking of spare parts inventory. For supply chain data sharing, users can connect ProFile with existing ERP/MES systems utilizing APIs and connect to report-generating platforms for custom reports.
In addition to the new ProFile, Progressive Components will showcase various mold components and technologies at the K show. These include plate retainers, which the company describes as a compact new method to pull parting lines in small to medium-sized molds. Also, new plate locks have added a large cam bar for robust parting-line actuation of big molds.
Also on display, the new C-Series UniLifters undercut releases, which self adjust to compensate for ejector plate misalignment and offer a click-in-place feature to simplify mold assembly. The company will also have its RhinoFeet product at the K. These can help mold makers eliminate wood beams and pallets for tool storarage, with available heights of 50, 75, and 100 mm (2, 3, and 4 in) with more than 12,000 kg (26,000 lb) strength per unit. For mold monitoring, high-temperature mold CounterViews are available in left and right-hand versions for temperatures up to 190°C.
