Thermal Transfer Ribbons With Holographic Effects for Packaging
Leonhard Kurz’s new TTR Nova has diffractive structures for futuristic designs.
Specialist for thin film technologies Leonhard Kurz has further developed its proven thermal transfer technology that is said to open up ‘galactic possibilities’ for customers to mark labels of their product packaging. Called TTR Nova, this ribbon has diffractive structures for futuristic designs. “With our proven Thermal Transfer Ribbons — TTR for short — we already offer a wide range of solutions and functionalities for marking products that our customers around the world value. Our latest innovation, TTR Nova, takes thermal transfer printing to a new level,” says Ivo Kionka, managing director of Kurz Typofol GmbH.
Inspired by the radiance of a glowing star, the holographic new product TTR Nova gives surfaces a striking shine and special optical depth in 3D. The shimmering thermal transfer ribbons offer innovative decoration options in seven design variants for both detailed labels and full-surface use. Despite its futuristic appearance, TTR Nova is said to meet the usual quality standards of TTR technology.
As with the classic Kurz ribbons, the new product line also enables the label design to be adapted flexibly and easily. Because of the seamless integration into existing flathead printing systems, the ability to create sharp, durable labels is easy, cost-effective and efficient, without the use of additional material or machine equipment. Simply changing the ribbon roll is all it takes.
The holographic designs with iridescent color effects are based on the company’s tried-and-tested Light Line hot stamping solution. Like Light Line, TTR Nova also underlines the high-quality character of product packaging with its sophisticated, faceted depth effects.
