DSM Opens West Coast Office
To support the consumer electronics business, DSM Engineering Plastics expands U.S. footprint.
DSM Engineering Plastics, Troy, Mich. has opened an office in the San Francisco Bay area to support the consumer electronics business and the rapid growth of this segment. The new San Mateo, Calif. center will focus primarily on global electronics OEMs and brand owners operating in the region, in addition to which it will serve as a hub to support the electric-vehicle and sports markets.
The company offers a broad portfolio of high-performance engineering plastics for the electrical and electronics sectors for products that include smart phones, tablets and ultrabooks,
“We already have a solid footprint in the manufacturing base. This places closer to our West Coast customers, helping to drive early involvement in product design, leading to shorter development cycles and more efficient manufacturing processes,” president Richard Pieters.
