Vinyl-Based TPE Compound Selected for Cable Jacketing in New Electric Vehicle Charging Stations
TufFlex TPE is resistant to heat, cold, and oils.
Custom compounder S&E Specialty Polymers LLC, Lunenburg, Mass., was recently chosen to provide its TufFlex vinyl-based TPE for the jacketing of cables used in charging stations for electric vehicles. (The customer was not disclosed for publication.) RoHS and REACH compliant GTPE-2203G1 is 105 C rated, oil-resistant, and very flexible (58 Shore A), with a very low brittle point (-53 C).
