Classic Containers Inc., a family-owned blow molder in Ontario, Calif., has been supplying bottles and closures to the personal-care market for more than 20 years.
NPE had its share of innovations in thermoforming, notably a new machine that opens the small-bottle market to thermoformers. New trim stations offer more in the way of output and versatility. And more machines are now outfitted with off-the-shelf controls to facilitate servicing. A new thermoplastic made by a polycondensation process similar to that used for polycarbonate offers high clarity, inherent flame resistance, and broad potential for copolymerization with PC and alloying with styrenics and polyesters.
