At NPE: Toshiba Adds New Electric & Servo-Hydraulic Models
First of a line of servo-hydraulic models debut.
Toshiba Machine Corp., Elk Grove Village, Ill., kept its NPE plans under wraps until almost show time, but you can have a look at three new machines in booth W1563. One is a new 30-ton size of its high-performance, “super-fast” all-electric ECSX line. The EC30SX is running connectors on a 1.8-sec cycle.
Also new are two energy-efficient servo-hydraulic models (with pumps driven by servomotors), the 110-ton TiA220S (photo) and 390-ton ISGS390N. “We plan to roll out a complete lineup of servo-hydraulics later this year,” said U.S. and Canada sales manager Steve Cunningham.
All three machines sport the new V50 controller with touchscreen interface and up to 40 optional user-programmable outputs for customizing molding cells without additional OEM programming.
