Register Now for PTXPO 2023
New trade show for plastics processors to evaluate new technology will be held for the second time in March in Rosemont, Ill., with some new wrinkles.
Registration is open now to the second Plastics Technology Expo, so hop onto ptxpo.com to sign up to attend this show, which will be held March 28-30 in Rosemont, Ill.
Launched last year, PTXPO is presented by Gardner Business Media Inc. and three of its publications in discrete parts manufacturing: Plastics Technology, MoldMaking Technology and Additive Manufacturing. We started it because you told us there was a need. In subscriber research we conducted prior to launching PTXPO, a whopping 86% of survey respondents told us that “a major plastics exhibition and conference hosted in the U.S. (specifically, in the Chicagoland area) and featuring the latest equipment and technology demonstrations, materials advances, innovations, and industry best practices is an essential resource for my professional development and networking within the industry.”
Why the Chicago area? Well, the Midwest is the hub of plastics manufacturing, and last year’s PTXPO was the first major industry event in the area since 2009. Once more, our research revealed that plastics processors are eager to reconnect in this thriving region to do business face-to-face.
Registration for this year’s event is tracking 168% above last year’s PTXPO.
The halls of PTXPO will be filled with equipment, machinery, tooling, materials and more to help North American plastics processors find out what’s new in the marketplace to help them be more profitable—and maybe even find some new suppliers. PTXPO will also feature an exhibit hall divided into major process and product pavilions to maximize efficiency for attendees. We know you’re busy, whether it’s running a company, a plant or a machine. So, we want to make your experience as well-ordered as possible.
Evidence suggests we have struck a nerve with the show, as registration for this year’s event is currently tracking 168% above last year’s PTXPO. And this year we have added two features to give you more reason to attend:
- Injection Molding Parts Competition: At PTXPO 2023, the Plastics Technology editorial team is excited to offer an injection molding parts competition, Hot Shots 2023.
Using a “People’s Choice” model, all attendees will be eligible to cast a ballot. One winner will be chosen for Technical Sophistication and one for Achievement in Molding Efficiency and/or Economics. Fill out the form below to enter your part into the competition. Go to ptxpo.com/hot-shots and fill out an entry form.
- Extrusion Education Program: We have engaged with two organizations in an effort to bring some extrusion-specific educational programming to the show floor. TAPPI will be sponsoring and organizing a half-day session on Tuesday, March 28 on flexible film extrusion technology. On Thursday, March 30, the SPE Extrusion Division will be presenting a half-day session of extrusion fundamentals and troubleshooting. Both these programs are being held at no cost to attendees.
Please check regularly for updates to show activities on our website. Refer to the e-newsletters we send you. We look forward to seeing you in Rosemont this coming March.
