DuPont to Acquire Advanced Materials Manufacturer Rogers Corp.

Acquisition will expand DuPont’s leadership position in advanced materials for high-growth markets including electric vehicles and 5G telecommunications.

Advanced materials manufacturer Rogers Corporation has entered into a definitive merger agreement to be acquired by DuPont in an all-cash transaction that values Rogers at approximately $5.2 billion. Following the closing of the transaction, expected to take place in second quarter 2022, Rogers will be integrated into DuPont’s Electronics & Industrial business unit.

Rogers’ advanced electronic and elastomeric materials are used in applications for EV/HEV, automotive safety and radar systems, mobile devices, renewable energy, wireless infrastructure, energy-efficient motor drives, industrial equipment and more. Headquartered in Chandler, Arizona, Rogers operates manufacturing facilities in the United States, Asia and Europe, with sales offices worldwide.

Rogers significant applications engineering, design expertise, and deep customer relationships form a strong strategic fit with DuPont’s innovation capabilities and collaborative approach to solving the most complex customer challenges.  This acquisition will expand DuPont's leadership position in advanced materials for high-growth secular end-markets, including electric vehicles, advanced driver assistance systems (ADAS), 5G telecommunications and clean energy.
