Freudenberg Medical Appoints New CEO
The medical devices, tubing and product manufacturer has promoted Mark Ostwald from the management board and his previous role as the chief technology officer.
Freudenberg Medical (Beverly, Mass.) has appointed Mark Ostwald as its new CEO. Ostwald previously served as chief technology officer of the company and was part of its management board. Ostwald joined Freudenberg Medical in 2009 and has held a number of leadership roles including: president of Europe, head of minimally invasive solutions and VP and general manager of the silicones business unit in California. He also helped establish the Kaiserslautern, Germany operation as managing director of Freudenberg Medical Europe.
Ostwald follows Max Kley who has been appointed CEO of a newly established Freudenberg business group for the growing battery and fuel cell market.
Freudenberg Medical serves the global medical device and biopharmaceutical market with 11 manufacturing operations and more than 2300 associates worldwide. The company’s capabilities range from precision molded components and extruded tubing to drug coatings, finished devices, composite catheter shafts and hypotubes for minimally invasive, handheld, and catheter-based devices.
Mark Ostwald has been promoted from the CTO of Freudenberg Medical to be its next CEO.
