Flexible, Efficient Shredder
Series provides the flexibility to handle drastically different material forms and characteristics.
The VIZ series shredder from Vecoplan is designed to improve operational efficiencies through increased machine flexibility and performance. The shredders can be adapted to different input and output requirements easily and quickly in three easy steps: changing the rotor profile, changing cutter design and selecting the appropriate screen.
Because recyclers and converters process a variety of materials, the VIZ series provides the flexibility to handle drastically different material forms and characteristics. Fluctuating input and output requirements are accommodated easily through a new rotor design with bolted-on cutter holder plates. The plates hold between two to six cutters, depending on their size, eliminating the need for rotor change.
Multiple rotor knife arrangements are possible—operators only have to exchange the plates to quickly adapt the cutting geometry to different processing requirements while the rotor remains in place.
Cutting-tip rotations can be performed off line, by replacing holder plates. In the event a single cutter tool holder becomes damaged, only the relevant plate needs to be exchanged to continue operation.
The VIZ series include a hydraulic lifting floor and a drop-down pneumatic screen for easy access. The ram height on the VIZ series has also been optimized. This in combination with a deeper processing bed, bale processing has been drastically improved, even in a 1300-mm wide machine.
Other key features include:
- A unique rotor and bolt-in and easily changeable cutters profiles;
- Drop-down pneumatic screen;
- Hydraulic lifting floor;
- Externally-adjustable counter knives; and
- Multiple rotor knife arrangements that can be changed by the customer.
Vecoplan will be participating at the Extrusion 2021 Conference, September 21-23, Rosemont, Ill.
