Scrap-Reclaim System For Film
Can reprocess 90-110 lb/hr of PE scrap and is fed via a trim basket and/or optional roll feed.
The Alpha XS from Syncro USA is billed as a compact, economical, and energy-efficient machine designed for the reprocessing of film scrap. The XS can reprocess 90-110 lb/hr of scrap and is fed via a trim basket and/or optional roll feed.
The system offers dual-diameter screw technology with close coupled AC motors and HMI / PLC control. The XS is fitted with auto pellet length control, cold start protection and other safety features.
Trim from the extrusion line is fed directly into the trim basket. Excess air is vented through perforations in the basket to create an air curtain where the trim spirals downward. Film on the reel can be fed automatically via an optional reel-feed unit. Both feed systems are controlled for constant automatic feed via the HMI. The material feeds directly onto a dual-diameter screw (8:1 L/D) where the scrap is heated, melted and filtered (optional) and then extruded through a multi-hole die face.
The polymer is then pelletized using an integral air-cooled pelletizer. Molten polymer exits the die face and is cut by a rotating variable speed die face cutter, and is then drawn into a transporter fan, where the granules are then transported through metal ducting / pipework to an air-separation cyclone. Granules then exit the cyclone directly into the customer's day bin or bagging station.
