Upgrade to Next-Generation of Advanced Plastics Shredder
BCA Industries’ ES2000, also known as “The Beast”, offered with electric power option.
“The Beast” ES2000 shredder from BCA Industries has a new electric power option for plastics processors that recycle in-house waste plastic, and large recycling facilities that need to efficiently handle plastics. With chamber sizes from 48 in. × 48 in. up to 48 in. × 72 in., the electric shredder provides from 100 hp to 800 hp and 100,000 ft lb of torque per knife. This is reportedly more than enough size and power to quickly reduce defective oversized items and high volumes into easily transportable, recyclable scrap.
The electric shredder eliminates the maintenance and inspection associated with hydraulic system fluid leaks and ruptured hoses and also boasts much quieter operation than its hydraulic counterparts. The quieter operation of the electric unit facilitates compliance with OSHA’s permissible occupational noise exposure limit as well.
The customizable ES2000 Electric Beast from BCA Industries has been successfully tested by the appliance division of a major global OEM at a facility in the U.S. Midwest. The OEM is shredding large, bulky, hard-to-feed, substandard or defective parts into small one-inch pieces and then transporting the scrap by rail to their recycling division. The new Electric Beast is being rolled out to other manufacturers now.
