WEB EXCLUSIVE JoeTools, a supplier of plasticating components for extrusion and molding, is expanding its product line with ThermoGuard insulated crossheads for building and communication wire, medical tubing, hose, and pipe. The heads have a fiberglass-insulated exterior and PTFE sheathing to make it easier to maintain correct process temperatures and reduce energy cost. The heads are said to maintain a lower surface temperature, adding to shop safety and comfort. JoeTools offers fixed-center and adjustable crossheads, as well as special designs, such as a Universal style for use with all tips and dies, and a multi-conductor head with a conveniently exposed feed area that eliminates tedious, long-distance feeds and greatly reduces setup time.
