LS Mtron Injection Molding Machines USA (Duluth, Ga.) has partnered with RJG Inc. (Traverse City, Mich.) to provide a press for RJG’s new training facility located on the campus of Rowan-Cabarrus Community College (RCCC) in Kannapolis, N.C. RJG took delivery of the all-electric LS Mtron WIZ-55E molding machine in December in preparation for its first class, which begins the week of Jan. 9, 2023.

The LS Mtron WIZ-55E is one of the E-Series all electric molding machines introduced by the company in 2016. Models range in clamp force from 20 to 950 tons and feature servo electric drives with an injection speed/pressure control algorithm; a 5-point toggle clamp; and high-speed injection.

In a release, Peter Gardner, business director of LS Mtron North America noted that the company has a large customer base in the Southeastern U.S., particularly among the automotive molding operations of South Korean carmakers with manufacturing in the region.

RJG courses offered at RCCC, include Mold and Part Design, Fundamentals of Injection Molding, Decoupled Molding Workshops and the Master Molder I and II. RJG provides the opportunity for any enrolled students at RCCC to come through its classes free of charge.
