The release of web-based WXView II R2 data acquisition software from Atlas, a global provider of weathering testing technology, has now been expanded. Previously limited to Atlas’ flagship Weather-Ometers series, the WXView II R2 connectivity has expanded to four additional weathering testing instruments:

  • The Suntest XLS+ and XXL+ full-spectrum xenon-arc flatbed instruments for 3D specimens
  • The Xenotest 220+ and 440 compact, rotating-rack, xenon-arc weathering and lightfastness testers

The benchmark for accelerated weathering, lightfastness and solar simulation testing by OEMs and R&D labs worldwide, Atlas instruments can accurately simulate months — even years — of exposure to sunlight, temperature and moisture in just days or weeks. The new WXView II R2 is said to enable users to easily monitor test parameter control system and other data outputs in real time. Previously limited to instruments connected to local area networks, the upgraded software enables multisite monitoring, which is particularly useful for companies that have labs and/or contract manufacturers in multiple locations.
