TPEs Meets NSF 51 Regulation for Commercial Food Equipment
Kraiburg’s new TPE series aimed at seals/gaskets, valves, flexible connectors, food contact hoses, and more.
A new series of TPEs positioned as a solution for industrial applications requiring NSF 51 approval in the commercial food equipment sector with adhesion to PP is newly available from Kraiburg TPEAmericas. These grades boast smooth haptics and are colorable, free from animal ingredients, and FDA compliant.
Typical applications include seals/gaskets, valves, flexible connectors, membranes, food-contact hoses and tubes. Product application engineer manager Juan Espinosa notes, “The Kraiburg TPE Americas site was audited and certified by NSF to commercialize grades approved to the NSF 51 regulation which establishes minimum public health and sanitation requirements for materials utilized in commercial food equipment. These requirements are based on US FDA Regulations. We are confident that this new series will propel the NSF 51 approval on our customers’ end products.”
