Several new control features are provided on the F2R series of high-precision hydraulic toggle presses (80 to 600 tons) from Hong Kong-based Welltec Machinery (offices in Elkhart, Ind.). Announced at the NPE show in Chicago, the machines have a new DE020 controller with a 6 in. color graphic touchscreen and a new three-color alarm lamp (previously one-color). New features include a micro-sensor linear transducer that controls clamping, injection, and ejector strokes, a new electronically settable proportional backpressure setting (previously set manually), and a new water-flow regulator for improved cooling.
