New Owners for Alpha Marathon
After bankruptcy, new group purchases intellectual property and forms Alpha Marathon Film Extrusion Technologies.
Canadian machine builder Alpha Marathon has reemerged. The former Alpha Marathon Film Extrusion Technologies Inc. went into bankruptcy in August 2023. However, this past May 2024, the company's intellectual property was acquired by the New Era Group of North York, Ontario (Canada).
Following this acquisition, a new company was formed under the name Alpha Marathon Film Extrusion Technologies, based in new offices in Concord, Ontario. Several former Alpha Marathon employees, including Dr. Felix Guberman, have joined the new company. Guberman is the new company’s sales director.
Alpha Marathon provides complete systems for blown/cast film and sheet. It also provides a wide range of line components for retrofits, including extruders in customized L/D ratios, die packages, air rings, internal bubble cooling systems, bubble cages, nips, winders and more.
