SABIC Selects Bamberger Polymers as Distributor for Americas
SABIC has announced Bamberger Polymers as an authorized distributor of its engineering thermoplastics and polyolefins in the Americas.
Bamberger Polymers (Jericho, N.Y.) has been named by SABIC as an authorized distributor for for its engineering thermoplastics and polyolefins in the Americas. In a release, SABIC said this deal will expand its market presence for these product lines by tapping into Bamberger’s marketing and distribution network in the Americas.
A SABIC spokesperson told Plastics Technology that the company previously worked with Bamberger in the region in a more limited capacity, but that this new arrangement has expanded the scope of that cooperation. In particular, SABIC has extended to Bamberger its full engineering thermoplastic and polyolefins portfolios. Geographically, SABIC previously sold materials into all the regions covered by this arrangement, which will expand Bamberger’s scope and portfolio.
Headquartered in N.Y., Bamberger has distribution centers throughout the U.S., Canada, and Mexico, as well as Central and South America. Bamberger started serving SABIC customers during in the fourth quarter. SABIC noted that Bamberger representatives will have access to its global application design and testing resources.
SABIC grades that Bamberger is supplying include Cycolac (ABS), Cycoloy (PC/ABS), Geloy (ASA), Lexan (PC), Stamax (long-glass PP), Valox (PBT), and Xenoy (PC/PBT) among other resins. In the U.S. and Canada, Bamberger also distributes resins from Domo, Indorama, Ineos, Phillips 66, Polímeros Mexicanos, and Westlake Chemical.
Bamberger is headquartered in Jericho, N.Y. with offices and distribution networks throughout the Americas.
